Shia LaBeouf is returning with a monster project called “The Tax Collector” directed by “Suicide Squad”’s David Ayers. In this film we get to see the former Disney channel star play a man named Creeper who works for a dangerous crime lord named Wizard by collecting money from gangs. Creeper and fellow tax collector David, played by Bobby Soto, are thrown for a loop when Wizard’s rival from Mexico returns to Los Angeles and causes chaos in their business.
The movie will lead be one of the very first films to hit theaters since covid-19 forced a nationwide shutdown.
The current release date is August 7th, 2020. It will also be released on all major video on demand devices as well.This beats the much anticipated Christopher Nolan epic “Tenet” by 5 days. The rest of the world will have to wait until 10/26 to watch “The Tax Collector” in theaters. As much as we are excited, it stands to reason that the cast is even more pumped! This movie finished filming August of 2018 and was set to release in 2019.
