There are a few rules to doing PR well. One of them is, don’t quote Hitler! Desean Jackson, 33, has come under fire for his recent anti semitic post he shared with his 1.4 million followers.
Jackson shared an image of a quote from Hilter saying that “the Jews will blackmail America. [They] will extort America, their plan for world domination won’t work if the Negroes know who they were.” It was later revealed that this quote was not from Hitler, but Jackson believed it was at the time.

The Philadelphia Eagles organization swiftly condemned these statements from Jackson and said they were appalled. In fact apart from former NBA player Stephen Jackson expressing his support for Desean’s statement, the entire sports community has seemingly disavowed Jackson’s stance.
New England Patriots star receiver Julian Edelman had a slightly different approach. He posted on his Instagram account Thursday morning a video message for Jackson. In it he described how much his Jewish faith meant to him and how the Jewish community must stand with the Black Lives Matter movement. Edelman closed the video by extending an invite to Jackson to go see the holocaust museum in Washington D.C. Then they would go visit the black history museum and have burgers and conversation after.
Edelman hopes to spread love and fight ignorance and fear. We hope he succeeds.
